Do you have loads of orders piling up without ever being completed?

They are probably only polluting your back end and creating confusion.

Also, the stock is being reduced and you know that these orders will never be shipped?

You probably need to cancel them and in this tutorial we will show you how to do it.

The process is simple and similar to invoicing and shipping order in Magento, for example.

So let’s see how it’s done.

As always, you need to log in to your Magento Admin Panel, navigate to Sales and choose Orders menu item.

Next, choose the order that you want to cancel by clicking the View link next to it.

That will show you all the necessary details about your order.

Now, note the orange buttons in the upper right corner of the screen (see the screenshot).

Cancel Magento order

All you need to do is to click the Cancel button.

Magento will ask you to confirm if you really wish to cancel your order, so you can still change your mind at this point.

If you are sure you’re doing the right thing, click OK and you will see a success page that will inform you that your order has been canceled.

And let’s hope there will be just a few of them to cancel!
